THB’s 10 hatke Valentine’s Day place suggestions

Bored of having rooftop nights? Or even a sea facing evening? Or you think Candle light dinners aren’t you? But you still want to celebrate valentine’s day and want some good food along with it?

If yes, then spend 5 more minutes to read about this compilation of 10 non-mainstream valentine’s day places which have something to offer unlike your normal romantic date places and definitely have some good food to hog. Trust The Hogger’s Blog (also our guest writers) and have a very happy Hogger’s Valentines.

I would take the the honor to kick start this list with a tiny burger joint situated in Hiranandani Meadows Thane. Imagine you are sitting with your date and it’s raining heavy. There is a dry shelter over your head but no electricity and a burger greasy messy along with some yummy bacon fries and the owner  playing some soft music on his guitar. This was one of the evenings I spent at Fooze.

1. Fooze

A small little place in Thane which serves massive burgers. Fooze has a very cozy feel to it, the sitting section has small tables and chairs and some old books and empty booze bottles along with the story of how fooze began.

Fooze is a dream of two people who met over a beer and decided to have a burger joint of their own. Kartik and Shivam have over the period of time have done some great work and have created my favourite burger joint ever.

Surprise your Valentine with the some crunchy messy burgers at a typical burger joint who when contacted for Valentine’s day offer came back with a reply “Pyaar ek dhoka hai”

What to order? Fooze has a variety of Bs to offer on the menu. But my favourite is to pick Shivam’s brain and ask him to make me something new and exciting in which he has never disappointed me. If you think burgers are too messy on your first date, then go for their FTBs (Fuck the Buns) which is all the burger masala without the buns (their bestsellers) also don’t don’t miss the Bacon Fries.

Fooze is situated at Hiranandani Meadows Thane and in my best knowledge would be the highest rated Burger Joint on Zomato in Mumbai/Thane/Navi Mumbai region. Despite of the high rating I give my non veg lovers a personal guarantee that you won’t be disappointed with the pork/bacon/meat blast that you are about to receive.

Next up we have the founder of THB and our over-grown baby hulk Amrith Padmanand who will be presenting two of his choices. Amrith is a serial dater who is still single and has a lot of experience in the dating field 😛 He brings to you two cool offers at hand for Valentine’s day

4. Bakerville

If your idea of a valentine’s gift hovers close to desserts, customised cakes, or anything that is sweet, I would suggest the following two:

Priyanka at Bakerville does cakes customised to the T- base, flavours, shape, size, messages, etc. etc. Go for the regulars like the Double Chocolate Cake, or red being the colour of the day, the soft Red Velvet cake. Too shy to tell him/her how much you love him/her? Don’t worry, they have you covered! Write your heart out on a message inside one of their Message Cakes. Or surprise him or her with a Surprise Cake and watch them discover a delectable surprise (decided by you) in the centre of the cake. Add an elegant and personal touch with their Monogram Cakes to show your beloved that they are your favourite! Love comes in all sizes, so why should cakes be an exception!! Customised cupcakes, just like their cute little Red Velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frostings or butter cream frostings are an option to. They also have a V-Day special gift box containing Two Cupcakes, 1 Jar Cake, cookies and chocolates!!

And if you are still confused or have an cake idea but execution is the problem, get in touch with Priyanka at P.S.- Priyanka is Thane based!

5. Cafe Neo

Cafe Neo at Dadar Shivaji Park, is a recently opened, cute little dessert cafe, done up in pretty shades of white and pink!! They do these extremely cute red little hearts shaped pancakes, Dutch Poffertjes, topped with sauce of your choice!! Also must try is their crepes, crispy and light and none other like them in the whole of Mumbai!! Go for their signature coffee butter one, and you will thank me later!! And post satisfying your sweet cravings, walk down the lane (literally 20 steps or so), for one of the most iconic view of the Bandra Worli sea link, and chit chat away till wee hours, in the cool sea breeze, as the perfect end to your V-day date!!

A live pizza stone oven on one corner shows you the view of freshly baked pizzas while the bar sprawls the whole length of the wall besides the stone oven. Mangii oozes romance in its setting and it’s a great place for couples to enjoy the quietness.

This 14th February, say Ti Amo the Mangii way as they are ready to celebrate love.
